Moorings....... at Lime Kiln Basin, STONE.

These moorings are ideal if you wish to spend time relaxing on your boat, and within a very short distance of Stone town centre. The town is pedestrianised, with plenty of fine pubs and eating venues, two supermarkets, hardware stores etc etc. A pleasant walk down the tow path takes you through the horse tunnel under Newcastle Road, past Stone Boatbuilding, (marine chandlers), and on to the historic dry docks now run by the Canal Cruising Co Ltd. A few hundred yards further on is the Star Inn; a historic canalside pub adjacent to Stone bottom lock.

Our moorings have the following assets and facilities:

  1. Secure moorings convenient for the Four Counties Ring, Caldon and Macclesfield canals.
  2. Water.
  3. Electricity.
  4. Telephone connections, (by BT).

  6. Stone station 5 minutes walk away.
